Any tips for getting through 200 pages of textbook reading?

I need to read, study, and understand 200 pages from my engineering textbook for a test on Monday. Any tips on how to do it quickly and thoroughly?Any tips for getting through 200 pages of textbook reading?

I'm pessimistic. Engineering texts usually involve a lot of math at the calculus level and beyond. And you're evidently just now getting around to cracking the book? I guess I agree with one of the other respondents: Try to understand the main points and how they can be applied to practical problems. But, in my opinion, this is no way to become an engineer. Good luck, though.Any tips for getting through 200 pages of textbook reading?
To start, just read each chapter. Seriously, don't take notes or highlight or make an outline; just read and understand the basic concepts. Read through example problems, but don't get bogged down in the details.

After you have read the whole chapter, go through and work through all the examples provided.

Finally, make an outline/equation sheet of key points and things to memorize. Work through some of the questions at the end of the chapter.
Make an outline of the book and just understand the key points of it.
