When a piece of paper and textbook are dropped in a vacum what happens?

we are learning about the result of dropping a piece of paper and a textbook, but when placed in a vacum what happens to each. do they still drop? does one drop first? what happens? When a piece of paper and textbook are dropped in a vacum what happens?
Hello Itraneey, both would fall at the same time as they fall in vacuum. This is similar to Galileo's experiment or Newton's experiment. If they get dropped from a height S then time taken to reach the bottom would be t = ./2S/g

As t does not depend on any mass or area of the object both would take the same time for falling. But if they get dropped in air, then due to buoyancy force and friction etc both would arrive at different time. Book would arrive so early than the slow landing paper.
