Is it a better idea to get an American or European textbook?

I'm planning to get a couple of textbooks dealing with economics, and I already have a book that covers America's economy, so is it a good idea to buy a European textbook instead? Do European textbooks go more in depth?Is it a better idea to get an American or European textbook?
Both are amazing. But I had a European text book before and it was a little more elaborated based on more countries around the world and their history. But just a little.
