I don't want it to be published on some self-publishing company, rather, it should be a prominent textbook publisher like McGraw Hill or Prentice Hall.
Can you give me any way to contact them through the web or the phone? How does one go about publishing a short textbook?
Your best bet is to get hold of a copy of The Artists' and Writers' Yearbook or Writer's Market, both of which have full lists of publishers and agents. You will also find many listed on the internet but you should tread carefully there. Bona Fide agents and publishers pay you, you don't pay them except as a percentage of your book's earnings. How does one go about publishing a short textbook?
Is it an academic textbook? If so, contact a bona fide publisher's agent who specializes in such things. There is no guarantee whatsoever you will be published however.
