I have a college textbook and there are many problems inside without solutions provided. I think it would be good for educational purposes if I try to solve them and put the solutions on my homepage.
Will there be any copyright issues?
Should I contact the author?Is it ok if I post solutions of textbook problems on my homepage?
To be absolutely legal, you should contact the author or publisher (see the copyright notice in the front of the text book) and get written permission for what you want to do, before you do it, then file that permission in case of any hassles later on.
