Am I allowed to memorise the textbook and practically rewrite it in an exam?

As you don't need to reference in an exam, like you would an essay, is it ok if your answer is almost directly out of a textbook. I know this would usually be playjerising, but can you do it in an exam?

Thanks.Am I allowed to memorise the textbook and practically rewrite it in an exam?
you can write whatever the hell you want in an exam HOWEVER almost all assessors know exactly when a student has done exactly what you're planning to do and I guarantee you that this is the worst idea that any student has come up with for an exam. There is honestly no other way to do well in an exam than putting in the time and effort to do proper study. Take it from someone who's been in your position and still is that it does pay off when you try to do well in an honest way.Am I allowed to memorise the textbook and practically rewrite it in an exam?
If the exam setter has asked a question where regurgitated chunks of textbook are good answers, sure.

Generally they don't.Am I allowed to memorise the textbook and practically rewrite it in an exam?
