Is it ok to play an xbox 360 that is on a textbook?

i want to prevent overheating, so i just put it on top of a textbook so that it can be in a more open area.

is it ok to put it ontop of a textbook, or will it make no difference?Is it ok to play an xbox 360 that is on a textbook?
if the textbook is horizontal than it should be fine. If it's vertical it will get more air but is much more dangerous. ( and not worth it) because incase it falls while playing a game it might cause damage to your game disc. When horizontal it can't really fall.. just slide off..
