How to reference about an idea from someone within a textbook using chicago author date style?

I have had a look at the referencing guide but I still have questions. For example, lets say I wanted to talk about an idea from the text qualitative research methods, 3rd edition, Liamputtong, which refers to someone else within the text, how would i reference that? like (Daly 2007,p 140). It comes from page 44 of the textbook. How I would I reference that idea which i got from the text. and how would i cite that idea as an in-text citation?How to reference about an idea from someone within a textbook using chicago author date style?
