What's the difference between textbook publication years?

I'm looking for college textbooks online. For one book I can find the correct edition number, but the publication year and ISBN are different. What's the difference here or would it be alright to use a book with a different publication year/ISBN so long as the edition is right? What's the difference between textbook publication years?
Well, sometimes textbooks are reprinted for various reasons, and sometimes ISBN numbers are different for a reason! If you college professor wants you to buy a textbook with a certain ISBN number, sometimes it's best to either get that exact ISBN number, or, speak to your college professor. What's the difference between textbook publication years?
Normally, they may have different page numbers and some corrections. I would ask your instructor if you could use an older addition. I would also suggest using GreenTextbooks.org

%26lt;A%26lt;/AGreenTextbooks.org specializes in the recycling of textbooks, DVDs, CDs. Buying used textbooks not only saves you money, but cuts down on greenhouse gases caused by the manufacturing of new textbooks.

Yes you should be able to use the different publication year without problem. Getting slightly older editions, international editions, previous printings etc. can be a great way to find cheaper versions of your textbooks. To save even more money I always use http://www.bigwords.com They are a textbook search engine that searches all the online retailers and rental to find you the best prices for your books. And you can choose to search for used, new, international, exact match ISBN or all of the above, just to see what can save you the most money.

Hope this was of help! Good luck.
Yes. Old edition or new edition is that matters not the year of publication.
