In great need of a physics textbook that is easy to understand and goes deep into physics concepts?

topics such as kinematics, circular motion, friction on inclined planes and flat ground, etc. I have a glencoe textbook that is hard to understand and I cannot understand the math in physics due to reliance of this textbook. WHat would be some good books that will demystify these topics above? In great need of a physics textbook that is easy to understand and goes deep into physics concepts?
I would recommend "Physics" by Resnick, Halliday %26amp; Krane.

My friends say "University Physics" by Young is good too.

"Physics" by Resnick and Halliday (No Krane) is good too, although it's quite involved in the theoretical and mathematical part and it might be better for a beginner to 1st study from Resnick, Halliday, Krane.

"Physics" by Resnick, Halliday and Walker is another variation, although in my personal opinion, its not as good as the others...

Also use the net to your advantage. You'd be surprised how many websites offer really simple and concise explanations of what might seem to be complex topics.

If you are having trouble with the mathematics involved (which, I am sure, is primarily due to Calculus), then I'd recommend Calculus by Thomas and Finney. If it's Trigonometry or coordinate geometry that's bothering you, then I would recommend Plane Trigonometry (part 1) by S L Loney and Coordinate Geometry by the same author. The books by Loney are quite cheap and are worth many times more than what they cost.

Also check out, MIT opencourseware (google it) and NPTEL (again, google).
