What is the difference between a Manual and a textbook?

I purchased a manual online instead of a textbook can i still pass the class?What is the difference between a Manual and a textbook?
Textbooks generally give all the information about a subject. As in computers, you would learn the ins and outs of the computer, who did what when the purpose of each component in the Central Processing Unit (CPU) and things like how external devices like printers work with the CPU so if you need to trouble shoot a computer, you will recognize the problem right away and fix it.

If you don't have the textbook knowledge, you might fall short on that part of your education and having just a manual will be inadequate.

I don't know what your field is so its hard to say.
