What is a good Latin textbook for self study?

I'll be teaching myself, I am 14 and fairly self motivated. My school doesn't offer a latin course. What would be the best textbook to start out with? Link would be nice.What is a good Latin textbook for self study?

I would not use "ECCE ROMANI"

having used that for two years, i can tell you it blows

internet language learning sucks because you can never find a complete source, just samples from books

don't bother learning a modern romance language

yeah.. Italian, Spanish, french, Portuguese, Romanian, and all their variants have evolved from Latin, but it is definitely not worth the trouble

*edit* post below: I would not recommend learning spanish/italian first. I'm italian and I can get by.. nothing great or anything.. But Latin has helped me a ton with not only that but also english and english grammar.
If you want to learn Latin, I recommend learning Spanish or Italian first, they are the closest modern language.
