Is there a website were I can look at for guidelines on how to price my textbook accuratly after being used? I plan on putting up signs to sell my textbooks during the fall at my college, but don't want to overprice it or sell it too cheap! How do you price your textbook?
I would suggest selling them around campus like you are already doing. You end up paying 100 dollars per book and then sell it back at either the bookstore or a website and get less than 40 % back. I would tell you to check out what websites are selling them for and when you sell your own book, sell it for a little more than that. Since someone probably ends up paying shipping, you will end up helping them and yourself out. Some of the websites are: www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnobles.com, www.sellyourtextbooks.com, and you can google the rest. By the way, you need the ISBN number in order to check out the prices. I hope this helps. How do you price your textbook?
you can just sell the textbooks for the same price as you brought them as. If the textbook isn't as "nice" as it was before, down the price a little to a fair amount. oh yes also if there are people taking the same class as you and see the textbook at a lower price as they are in the store, their more likely 2 buy it!
