The only decent Russian textbook I've found is Basic Russian by Mischa A. Fayer. Published by McGraw Hill. ISBN 0-8442-4200-4

I believe there is a companion workbook, but I have not seen it personally.

I'm from Ukraine. Close to Russia..mmm...i'm not sure. I would teach you Russian if there was a way.
