What is a good textbook to learn Japanese?

I am looking for a textbook so I can learn Japanese very well. I am a beginner too. I have bought books before but none of them have had what I am looking for. I would like a structured student textbook so it may be easier to learn. Can anybody suggest a good maker for a Japanese textbook? What is a good textbook to learn Japanese?
We used Nakama 1 and 2 in college. They were very good.

Japanese for Everyone is good in terms of explaining how everything works in Japanese grammar, and it starts each chapter with a selection (which gradually grow larger and more complex throughout the book) of how the new vocabulary and grammar it will teach is used. Examples are also littered through-out the book and it have many places you can "practice" in, with answers in the back.

However, a lot of the vocabulary it teaches are business-man oriented.

When looking for a textbook, it's important to get one that does not use romaji and contains in-depth explanations rather than just examples of how it's done and leaving it at that. The well-known online stores (amazon, for example) usually carry sample images from the book where you can get a feel for how it will go before you buy.

I've never used Genki before, but people say it's good as well.
