Which textbook is used in most medical schools for psychiatry?

I was wondering which textbook (name and authors) is used for instance in the first year of a psychiatry specialization in some of the really good medical schools such as harvard stanford yale princeton cornell etc.. ?Which textbook is used in most medical schools for psychiatry?

The way I would try to find out is to wait until shortly before the fall and spring semesters begin, use google to find the school bookstore for each of the schools I was interested in looking at, and then look up which textbooks were required and recommended for the courses I was interested in. If I wasn't sure what course numbers I wanted to look at -- I might be able to find those by looking at the med school's psychiatry department or by looking at a course catalog, which might also be available online -- I would just "choose" every single course and skim down until I found a book that looked as if it was from the right class.



You may still be able to look at books for the spring semester right now, but I wouldn't expect to be able to see the books for the fall semester until August or so.
