I placed out of general bio with AP credit. Since I plan on taking the MCAT, I thought it would be a good idea to read a college-level general biology textbook over the summer. People in my college used Biology 8th edition by Solomon Berg and Martin. I looked at an older edition and it really didn't seem too greatly written. Does anybody have any recommendations? I realize Biology by Campbell is popular, and that is the one I read in high school, but is this book as in depth as other bio textbooks in college?What is the best college biology textbook?
Cambell is one of the best. It's still a basic biology book. Your more advanced courses will replace it.What is the best college biology textbook?
