If I have an overdue book, can I look at a textbook on hold in the library?

At my community college, my professor put a textbook with all the answers in it in the library so we could check our assignments, ect.

I have an overdue book though...

I've never went and looked at a book that a teacher had on reserve before, so I don't know if they won't allow me to look at or not. Please help!If I have an overdue book, can I look at a textbook on hold in the library?
I don't think anyone but your school's library can answer this question.

At my school, they would have let you but it would require an override code - the system wouldn't check books out (which is what you had to do with reserves, even though they couldn't leave the library) to someone with overdue notices, so essentially a supervisor would have to approve it. But who knows if your school has the same system in place.
