What is a good criteria for a history textbook?

Meaning what should a history textbook have in order for it to be a good one.

Before I clicked on this question, I was (like the first answerer), also thinking, "no bias." (thinks about my APUSH book with all those unfavorable descriptions of JQ Adams and Andrew Jackson...) That's kinda hard to do in a history book, but still. Also, it depends on what you want... some books go into a lot of detail about interesting, but irrelevant stuff. Others get straight to the point and are very concise. What I hate about my APUSH book is that it has to have 5 adjectives for every noun it lists...



So very little or no bias, concise but factual.What is a good criteria for a history textbook?
