Is an Instructor's edition of a textbook just as good as the textbook for students?

I'm looking for a textbook, but the cheapest one I've found is at LEAST $100. I found a teacher's edition of the same textbook for under $40, so I'm wondering if I could use that for class instead of paying an arm and a leg for the other.Is an Instructor's edition of a textbook just as good as the textbook for students?

The teacher's edition has the answers in the back to all of the book quizzes etc. In one sense it is better. It also has the rationale for the subject being taught.
